Learning Goal: I’m working on a writing report and need a sample draft to help me learn.Review the feedback you received on the APA Correction & Article Selection worksheet. For this assignment, you selected 1 academic, peer reviewed journal article. You will now write a press release on that article. Using your previously chosen public health topic, you will write a press release from the perspective of a public health professional. You will summarize your article’s findings so that non-health professionals can understand the health implications of this research. Write about these findings that, as a public health professional, you would want to communicate to the public. As you know from the press release module, news reporters/news editors are the target audience for press releases. They read many press releases that are written by public health professionals. News reporters/news editors decide whether or not to write and publish a news article on the topic covered in the press release. The reporter’s article is what is eventually read by the general public. In this way, press releases educate the news reporters/news editors so that they can then educate the general public. This is NOT a draft version of your Press Release. You will be graded on the quality of your content. Your press release must meet all of the listed requirements and be of high quality.
