***Intention of the composer is something we dismiss quite frequently because most listeners want the music to function the way they want it to. Keep in mind however that if we can divorce ourselves from any of our own expectations while listening to a new piece of music, we can appreciate the function of the music from the composers perspective – which is the original intent.***
