Option 1
You have a customer that is not happy with your organization. They want you to make a concession for them, that is not company policy. You have an angry customer who is arguing and using profanity at one of your staff members. Their family has been valued customers over the years, so if you lose this individual’s business, you lose the whole family’s business.
Option 2
You have an employee that is continuing to bring disruption to your meetings and in their department. They never agree with decisions made and are constantly bad mouthing your organization’s management team. They are working on a major project and do quality work, so you really do not want to let them go. How do you get them to get along with others and become a team player?
Option 3
You have a boss that is constantly adding more work on your plate and is making demands from you that do not apply to the rest of the staff. He constantly berates you in front of your colleagues and does not show you any respect for the work you do. You need this job and do not want to quit. The HR director is best friends with your boss, so you do not want to go to them. How do you approach this situation?
Option 4
Your organization helps produce a non-profit event, which is beneficial for your company’s image, as well as, provides benefits for the community. You have a new committee member who has joined from another organization who has different goals and objectives for this event. They have swayed some of the other members to agree with them, however, you know that their direction does not work for the entire committee. How do you handle someone who brings disruption to the flow of your event, and help them become a team player?
