Format: I am flexible — whether you submit as a paper, a thorough outline, an audio recording, a PowerPoint — it all can work for me. As long as you answer/a‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌ddress each point of the guidelines above.
**Your “Literature Review”: What do I mean by “literature review?” Essentially, you’ll be gathering 5 scholarly (academic) and 5 non-scholarly (non-academic) sources** and offering annotations on those sources. (So, that’s 10 sources.) To find your scholarly/academic sources, use the Lesley library system (click on the “my library” tab on myLesley and you will be brought into the Lesley Library System) or Google Scholar to find peer reviewed scholarly articles about your topic/RQ. Non-scholarly/non-academic sources can be anything from a podcast to a documentary film, from newspaper articles to other primary/secondary sources.
This is not a true Literature Review, rather, it’s kind an annotated bibliography, but not entirely. This section, for the purpose of this research proposal, is a place for you to gather existing research and outline your thoughts on each piece you find. Literature Review vs Annotated Bibliography
If you choose to format as a paper, it will be about 10 pages, maybe more. Please double-space your paper (Times New Roman, 12 pt font). Please site your sources as closely as you can to APA style‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌.
