Background
On January 6, 2021 there was a protest in Washington D.C. against the installation of the 46th President of the United States. This protest grew into situations that resulted in property damage, physical confrontations with police authority, and the need for Congress to shut down its proceedings for the sake of safety.
The legal result is ongoing but over 700 have been arrested and there have been a number of guilty pleas as the Courts are just beginning to handle these cases.
