Objective:
To plan a behavioral assessment of problematic behaviors in a special-education classroom and to evaluate that assessment.
Scenario:
You have been asked to observe students in a first-grade special-educational classroom to make assessments of specific behavioral problems that various students manifest. You will need to plan a strategy for making observations that are systematic and measurable, and that will help produce plans of action for students based on their particular needs.

1. Write up a preparation plan for your classroom observation that includes criteria for choosing contexts, observation schedules, and recording procedures. Discuss different possibilities, and justify your conclusions. Reference concepts from the chapter to support your discussion.
