ARTIFACT ANALYSIS ELEMENTS FOR PLANNING AND DRAFTING
● Learning goals for your selected artifact?
● Artifact introduction (origin, features, purpose, personal significance).
● Cultural association, representation, and values (thesis)?
● Uses of specific evidence from the artifact itself to support your analysis?
● Materials, components, uses, manufacture, shapes, colors, textures, weight, size?
● Unknown aspects that can be speculated upon, such as origin or symbolism?
● Object’s humanistic and technoscientific dimensions (Snow’s metaphor)?
● Conclusion thoughtful, re-affirms your thesis, speculates, cultural insights?

The object can be personal or not. The main objective is to explain its background, culture, and lesson you learned from it/message moving forward.
