After completing the assigned reading for this topic, your task for this assignment is to visit an historical site related to Native/Indigenous Americans. There are various options in the Central Florida region. Fort Christmas is one example. This fort was built by colonizers during one of the Seminole Wars. The site you choose must be part of the history of Indigenous peoples in North America and must tell a story about these important individuals and communities.

2. A two-or-three page (approximately 1,000 to 1,500 words) written summary of what the site is all about, what you learned, and how it links up with the concepts discussed in the required reading and/or lecture for this segment. Offer critical analysis and thoughtful reflection. Proofread to remove typos and grammatical mistakes.
It’s fine if you wish to visit the selected site with another student in class (I know gas is expensive!), but collaboration on the paper is prohibited. Each person must submit a distinct, unique paper.
