Team dynamics are the latent, behavioral factors that affect the action and success of a team’s direction. These are like overtones in the ocean that can bring vessels in a particular direction from that which these expect to travel. Team dynamics are generated by the complexity of the team’s efforts, the team’s interests, their professional relations with other individuals, and the team’s working environment (Mohanty, 2018).
Effective team
Clear purpose: Teams are either directly influenced by mission statements or by clear beliefs or actions. Teams have to have a clear vision that included their core beliefs.
Appropriate culture: Teams inside their organizations should be respected and incorporated. Teams need to describe their goals and transparency processes explicitly for all projects.
Specified task: Teams include activities that substantially relate to the company and are compatible with the intent, skills, and attitude of the staff. Activities have to be motivational enough for members of the team to bear responsibility for success and transparency.
Distinct responsibilities: There is a need for clarity and comprehension of individual roles within a squad. Roles can be affected, though, by personal preferences and by organizational and social factors.
Ineffective Team
Team focus: Teams are mostly inefficient due to a lack of aim. Although they have an initial idea about what to do next, there is still no clear objective or list of personal goals daily. Likewise, a team can be destined for failure if it does not fully comprehend how to achieve its goals (Aziz & Zakaria, 2019).
Inequal membership: divided members of the team are not in the same team position. When some individuals express more or become more accessible about viewpoints or when the voicing of opinions and feelings is prevented, the people of the ignored team may grow hostility towards the rest of the team.
Errors and negativity: Finger-pointing is indeed a trait of the ineffective teams; leaders are fond of pointing out other people’s mistakes and failures instead of healing from failures and going on.
Team dynamics may be good, such as enhancing the overall performance of the team and bringing the most out of different team associates. These may also be negative-if these create demotivation, unproductive conflict, for example, and discourage the team from achieving their goals. A negative team dynamics can make persons dissatisfied, likely to result in a high failure rate for employees, while a good dynamic can increase efficiency, leading to high reliability and enhanced productivity. Both these can affect the public image and cultural identity of the team and organization (Salman & Hassan, 2016)
