A recurring topic explored in the texts we have read has been what it means to be out-of-place or different, sometimes explored through the lens of nationality, ethnicity, religion, class, gender, sexuality, or other categories of identity. With this in mind, compare representations of “difference” in any two texts. What do they have to say about attempting (or failing, or refusing) to fit in?
The two texts:

The final essay builds on the analytical and writing skills practiced in preceding assignments, while also expanding on those skills to include comparative analysis and the integration of secondary sources
Essay should support your interpretation/ central claim about the texts with primary evidence (analysis of texts), but also draw on some secondary research.
