Watch the YouTube videos above. Carefully evaluate each of the three performances of Hamlet’s famous “To be or not to be” Soliloquy. After viewing all three, write a 200 – 250 word response arguing which performance is more effective. Consider the following criteria: the actor, the actor’s pronunciation of the words, the setting, the mood, the speed or delivery of the words, the actor’s attitude and tone, and the symbolism.
Your response should begin with a clear topic sentence that identifies which performance you consider the most effective. The body of your well-developed paragraph should clearly explain how you arrived at this decision by commenting on the criteria that led to this judgment. Use specific examples from the performance to explain your points.
The assignment should be ONE well-developed paragraph submitted in a document in MLA format that adheres to the standard rules of MLA.
