I need a research critical analysis on guidelines about disabilities including psychological disabilities. Many of the guidelines in emergencies are generic or applying to all continents and cultures uniformly. If instead they were broken down by different cultures or regions.
For each paper, the grade will be derived from the following:
-The annotated bibliography of five references that inform the presentation (25%)
-The content (technical accuracy, choice of sources, strength of argument, etc.) (50%)
-The quality of writing (including proofreading), organization, presentation, and analysis (25%)
How to approach/think about paper:
-compare evidence from different sources
-examine what can be learned about how to respond better: what should we add to Sphere?
-Root your paper in health outcomes, not just health problems
-Emergencies & relief (not just a poor area)
-Interviews are fine sources of evidence (“personal communication”) as are unpublished reports from aid agencies. Email correspondence is fine
-data is good. diagrams are good
-Original analysis is good
-demonstrate skepticism. Do not merely quote articles as though they are infallible
All papers should have a focus on comparing different sources of evidence about some sort of lesson of what works in emergencies. The topics can be historical or current and include any emergency or many emergencies from different countries. Research papers are likely to be graded based on:
· the extent to which the papers actually deal with emergency risks and not merely talking about some country that is just poor;
· the extent to which papers tease out health outcomes and
· analyze and compare sources of information risks health outcomes and program responses.
I have attached a couple of my papers that can be expanded upon. I kind of wanted to expand the paper to emergency responses from the last 20 years and health outcomes on people with disabilities. And how we can improve health outcomes in emergency settings.
