(There is not much point to getting feedback on something we already know how and what we want to change). Make sure to review the assignment and previous modules for the necessary requirements.
This must be submitted as a Word or PDF file, and it must be on time. (Submitting this late means you will not be able to participate in Peer Review because peer reviews are automatically generated in Canvas, which means you will be missing out on both sets of points–draft submission points and peer review points).
Again, please note that the purpose of this activity is to submit a rough draft FOR PEER REVIEW. If you aren’t planning to participate in the peer review of reading and commenting on other people’s papers, then don’t submit your draft either. Draft Submission points are contingent on active participation in the whole peer review activity. The peer review activity is the whole purpose of submitting the draft!

(Your peer review partners will be assigned by Canvas beginning Friday afternoon, March 18, after you have submitted your initial draft. You will not be assigned peers to review if you have not submitted your own draft, thus you will lose out on both sets of points). Peer Reviews= 15 Points (Please see Peer Review grading criteria below). To complete the peer reviews, please complete the following steps:Complete the peer reviews by reading your assigned peers’ papers and using the RUBRIC provided. A completed review will include your rubric marks AND a specific comment for EACH criterion AND a general overall comment in the comment section.
Your goal in terms of grade is to convince me that you’ve read your partner’s draft closely and have thought hard about their draft, both in terms of what worked and what your partner should consider when they revise. Brief answers or answers like “I didn’t see anything” or “I didn’t have any questions” will result in a reduction in grade. Good peer review is detailed peer review. Please examine your partners’ essays closely for both strengths and weaknesses, and explain what you see in detail. When appropriate, refer to specific paragraph #’s to help guide your peer’s considerations for revision. You may also feel free to add additional comments in the submission comments.
Please don’t become concerned about the “Overall Score” for the Rubric or feel bad for giving low scores in particular criterion. The numbers are just a tool for students to see which areas they might focus on for revision; your specific comments will be the most useful in terms of the rubric. Students will not be “graded” on the score you give your peers.
Be honest, but be kind in your comments! If you can help each other out during the draft / revision process, then you will help each other be more successful when you submit for a final grade.
