Outcomes
Students will produce a clear, concise descriiption of a process, which would be understandable to a general audience.
Students will revise the drafts created in class to create more polished work, suitable for including in a portfolio.
Assignment
Based on the reading and the first class discussion, draft an instruction document
250-word minimum
The topic is up to you; visit me in office hours or make an appointment if you need help selecting a topic
Pick something you already know how to do
Do not do research for this assignment; the point is to practice writing from your own perspective
Include a line drawing, diagram, flow chart, or other graphic that helps illustrate the procedure. Include a proper caption (see class Powerpoint).
Although I don’t want you to research content for this assignment, you may get graphics from the internet.
