Depending on the size of the class, each student or group will be
responsible for giving one 20-minute presentation on an article (the article is linked in the attachments named “The Race to Appropriate Koreanness”). You may also critically analyze a historical event, video clip, performance or phenomena that is closely related to the class topic. Conduct an extensive
research about the topic and present in class. The presentation should include a brief summary of article’s main argument or idea, and end with two to three specific discussion questions that you pose to the class. Presentation materials such as papers, handouts, and PPT files should include proper quotation and citing information. The presentation itself should not exceed 20 minutes in order to allow time for questions. Use of
visuals is highly encouraged.
