Further your understanding of a potential career while gaining wisdom and insight from someone ‘who has walked the walk’
GRADING:
Submit a 500 word summary based on the interview. Write to reflect on your interview as if you were going to share the information with others who are seeking career advice. Provide information about your interviewee in these areas:
Who did you interview and why?
What organization does this person work for and what are their responsibilities?
What did you learn from the individual?
What does the person know now they wish they knew when they were younger?
What steps will you take to nurture the relationship after the interview?
TIPS:
Be on time for the meeting/call and be respectful of the time and energy they are sharing with you.
Introduce yourself to the individual and explain why you chose to interview them.
Prepare your questions ahead of time
Make arrangements to schedule your interview well before the deadline.
If you interview someone as a team, all team members must be present for the interview and submit their own review.
