A literature review is a short piece of writing that gives
the ‘lay of the land’ for the scholarship on a particular topic. When you write
a literature review, your job is not to develop a thesis but to describe how
scholars approach the specific topic, problem, or area of research, including
how they respond to other scholars in the field. Below are some detailed
outlines of how you could draft a literature review. There is a great deal of
overlap between them, so take them as general guides; you don’t have to do
everything that they suggest. For the purposes of this assignment, you should think
about what the main questions or themes are that the different writers have in
common, what is distinctive about each writer’s contribution to the discussion,
what different pieces of writing have in common with others, how the writers
engage with one another’s writing. This is not an annotated bibliography, where
you give a brief description of individual texts, in isolation from one
another. It is a description of a body of scholarship, so the connections
between the different pieces of writing are just as important as what the
individual pieces say on their own. It is not necessary for you to provide your
opinion on the debates that make up this area of scholarship, but where
different writers try to resolve problems in the field in different ways – or
raise problems with one another’s approaches – you may say briefly which
approach seems to you to be more promising and why that is.
In each paragraph I want you to choose one topic for example
like the topic of morality, I want you to describe how all the authors I have
given you connect to morality in that one paragraph. Then in the next paragraph
talk about ethics and how all the authors connects to the subject of ethics. In
every paragraph just stick to one topic but allow all the authors to be said in
every paragraph.
Landscape the way of maroality and ethics, describe how it
connects with freedom, talk about virtue ethics as well. find different topics in the reading that catches your eye and talk about how each author connects with that topic. its a literature review not an arguementative essay, your thoughts and use only your work and only use the articles which i have cited for you please. do not use any other outside sources!!!!!!!!!!!
REMEMBER EACH PARAGRAPH IS SUPPOSED TO TALK ABOUT ONE TOPIC
BUT INVOLVE ALL THE AUTHORS IN EACH TOPIC OF THE PARAGRAPH.
