Please carefully read the instructions for each of the assignments below. For this exam, you will select three out of six questions. The minimum length of response for each of your selected questions is 500 words.
More is certainly acceptable. The assignment is due on Sunday by 11:59 p.m.
The minimum length for all responses is exclusive of any headings, copying of the questions, reference
citations, etc. APA (7th ed.) formatting is required for all narrative responses in this exam, including
double-spacing, 12-point font, 1-inch margins, and indenting the first line of each paragraph. You are also
expected to utilize in-text citations, appropriately placed and formatted, as well as an appropriately
formatted reference list—all should conform to APA (7th ed.) standards.
Each response must include at least two references to provide context and support for your response.
While the assigned readings and class discussions may be utilized as references, they will not count as the
required minimum of two references. Please identify each assignment you are responding to, and identify
subparts, as appropriate.

Describe a workplace circumstance in which you realized the message you thought you sent was not fully understood by the receiver(s). In your example, you could use a memo, an email, a verbal communication, a standard or process you developed, or a communication at a meeting.
Identify how you ascertained your message was not fully understood by the intended receiver(s). Evaluate what the barrier(s) to effective communication is. Looking back, what could you have done to help ensure your message was fully understood?
