Each personality theory has specific perspectives on why our personality is formed. This assignment is designed for you to take a character and apply one of the perspectives from the semester in order to break down their personality. Below you will find the specifications for the assignment.
This paper needs to be at least 4 pages in length. The paper must be double spaced and no more than 12 point font. Paper need to be submitted in APA format and requires a cover page as well as reference page.
Step 1: Pick a fictional character you are familiar with. This is the character that you will base your analysis on. You should know a good bit about this character because you will need to give a background and overview so that the reader has enough information to relate to your analysis.
Step 2: Pick a personality theory to explain their personality. Examples: Psychoanalytic theory, Trait Approach, Behavioral Approach, etc..
Step 3: Take a personality test from that theory from the perspective of that character. The personality test should correspond with the theory that you have chosen.
Step 4: Use current research from that theory and apply it to your character. This means you will need to use the databases to find an academic journal article. The article can discuss the personality test or the personality theory. The information should help dissect your character further.
