Portfolio: In this portfolio, you will write your own invented narrative.
Make sure to have the five story elements: characters, setting, plot, conflict, and theme
What are the steps to the plot (Story Map)?
Exposition: background information about the protagonist in normal life
Conflict is introduced: Something that happens that creates a problem for the protagonist
Rising Action: Something happens that creates a problem for the protagonist
Climax: The most exciting part of the story; the turning point
Falling Action: The events that happen after the climax
Resolution: loose ends tied up; a peek at how things have changed
Options for your narrative:
Write about a dull trip that became an adventure due to a wrong turn
Write about how a pair of enemies joined forces to help someone
Write about a family heirloom that brought each generation good fortune
Write about how a student visiting a nursing home unexpectedly met a hero

Personal pronouns are allowed (I, me, you, we)

You may include graphics/pictures to enhance your story at the end – much like an illustrator would do in a book
