You will be reviewing the secondary
research found for your problem/solution research report. Your
literature review should use your secondary sources to introduce the
problem you are discussing and provide possible solutions. Provide
information from your secondary sources to adequately cover your topic,
the background of the problem, how the problem is being addressed in
other places, and what solutions may be incorporated into your
recommendation.
This project involves the following steps:
Sources approved by instructor through Topic and Source Approval
(any additional sources need to be approved by your instructor.)
Review individual sources to make sure you have adequate research
APA format, including font, spacing, margins, title page, headers, embedded citations, and references page
Headings for all sections except the introduction
1200 -1600 words (must meet minimum word count, exclusive of title and references pages)
Text evidence should be paraphrased. Direct quotes should be used
appropriately. All information from a text must be properly documented
in APA format.
1st and 3rd person points of view as appropriate
2nd person point of view is NOT appropriate for this assignment
Review of the research should include:
An appropriate description of the problem
Issues that the problem has caused
Local explanation of the problem
Possible solutions to the problem shown in other settings
Headings will include

Your report should include
Introduction: Introduce the problem. Explain the background
of the issue, include any primary research discussions that lead to
choosing this topic.
Body: You will include description of the problem shown
through research. This should include other settings in which this has
occurred. You should then show possible solutions through research,
including any that have been successful and those that have been
unsuccessful.
Conclusion: Summarize key points and tie into recommended solution for your audience.

valuable resources for conducting a literature review. For your
literature review, you will be reviewing the secondary research found
for your problem/solution research report. Your literature review should
use your secondary sources to introduce the problem you are discussing
and provide possible solutions. Provide information from your secondary
sources to adequately cover your topic, the background of the problem,
how the problem is being addressed in other places, and what solutions
may be incorporated into your recommendation.
