Scenario:
You are the Training and Development manager for a small to medium size company. You have been tasked with developing a training program for a team of employees. The total training should not exceed more than five contact hours. Address the training to the executive team. Your job is to persuade the executive that the training is needed and will be valuable.
Deliverable:
Presentation slides (such as PowerPoint). 6-10 slides (not including title slide, agenda slide and reference slide -all mandatory, but not included on slide count.) Note section of the ppt must be used to clarify points on each slide. (Think of the notes section as a scriipt of what you would say if presenting to an audience.) Please note, you are not to record this presentation-just upload the slides and use the note section as a scriipt.
Steps:
Create and state background of the company (size, industry, location, etc.), issue (reason for training), number of employees who need the training, location and time and date(s) of training. (1 slide)
Include: (Agenda, Conclusion and Reference slides needed-but do not count in slide count.)
Topic of training
Costs (be specific)
Outcomes (3-5)
Methods (how will the training be conducted)
Trainer (who will deliver the training and why)
Training evaluation method (to know if training was successful)
Justification of why this training will be successful (bullet point on slide and explain in note section.) (Please note you are not including the actually training program that would be given to employees. Think of this as what you would present to the executive level to persuade them that the training is necessary. Keep in mind the time limit of the training, 5 hours.)
Use at least 3 credible and recent sources to support your ideas. Cite on the slides with in-text citations and create a reference slide.)
Think visually. Use visuals: graphs, charts, pictures to add value to the presentation.
