Address one of the following issues:
1. Frederick Douglass recounts several frightening events in his narrative. Think about his reactions to those often difficult situations. Does Douglass’ reaction to one of those events strike you as particularly reasonable or human? And does his reaction suggest anything about equality?
2. Consider if Douglass’ narrative connects to one of the other writers/figures in the course. Whether it is Franklin’s The Autobiography, Rowlandson’s Captivity narrative, or another text, what central thematic connection do you see? Explain your answer.
3. Think about Douglass’ text as a document focused on persuasion. Is there an element of the document that is especially persuasive? Why?
Please support your answer by quoting specific evidence from the text.
Or, you may, if you wish, address another issue/topic/question you find compelling/important in the text. Be sure to refer to specific examples from the text.
Please remember to make a main post (at least 250 of your own words)
