Experiment in the Classroom AND pages 206-212 Environmentalism Among College
Students:
Read each study and summarize (in paragraph format), in
detail, all aspects of how each study was conducted
including the purpose, the methods, and the results, etc. Do not use
direct quotes of text, but do include facts like exact percentages, results, etc…
with appropriate in-text citations.
“All aspects” means naming the authors of the study,
publication year, study population and their unifying criteria, focus of
research, method of data collection, results, findings, any conclusions or
indications from the results, and any future suggestions by the authors for
further research in this area. Starting
with Assignment 3, students will also be expected to add a statement of how
each summarized study has influenced their research on the assigned/chosen research
topic.
Part 2.3:
Create a Statement of Purpose for a proposed experimental or survey design study for your
Review of Literature.
For class purposes, you will use the topic of Satisfaction (employee or customer.)
See examples below: (Include the purpose: the group to be involved in
the study, the exact location, and the data collection tool. Note all of these
parts are mentioned in the samples.)
Follow one of the examples exactly, substituting your own
information.
Experiment Design:
The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of a flex-time job option on
the satisfaction level of the employees at Miller Manufacturing. Data will be
collected through pre and post satisfaction questionnaire.
OR
Survey Design: The
purpose of this study is to determine the satisfaction level of the employees
working the night shift at Memorial Hospital. A questionnaire will be used to
collect data.
Part 2.4:
Use the Amberton library website to locate an actual Peer
Reviewed study from 2012-Present (Survey Design or Experimental Design) on
the same topic of Satisfaction (employee or customer) as your Statement of Purpose
in 2.3. Summarize, in detail, all aspects of the study. Discuss
only the study that was conducted by your author….do not include
information from their literature review or any direct quotes (in
other words, reword everything you use from the article without changing
the data/results). Include
all APA 7 documentation. This includes in-text citations for each and all
“borrowed” information in the body and a correct APA 7 reference page at the
end of the assignment.
