After reading the Mello text, Chapters 8 & 9, and Chapter 9 Reading 9.1, assess your current chosen organization for an area of organizational development strategic intervention. Strategic intervention targets how the organization uses its resources to gain competitive advantage in the larger environment. As an HR SBP, you must be able to assess the current state of the organization and identify what is needed for alignment of the organization with its environment, and the link needed for internal functioning of the organization to the larger environment, transforming the organization to keep pace with the changing conditions. See the section on “Strategic Interventions” as stated in Reading 9.1, for a reminder of areas of focus.

(a) Choose one major area for an organizational development strategic intervention; explain why you chose the specific area; steps you would take to assess, i.e., provide current descriiptive metrics or operational standards; whom you would involve in the process of the intervention, and the result you seek to obtain at the end of the strategic intervention.
(b) Relate the above process and information to knowledge gained from Dowling et al., Chapter 7.
(c) Are there ethical considerations that may arise as a result of the strategic intervention you wrote about in Part A? If yes, describe them and how you would handle them. If no, explain why you believe there are no ethical issues in your proposed strategic intervention.
