Week 5, identify an individual who works within the career field you aspire to be in (it’s 2 ok if you’re already working in that field.) This can be a supervisor or a staff member but it needs to be someone with knowledge of their organization’s diversity training protocol. During this interview you will want to find out about the diversity training and policies within their workplace. Please explain this is for a project for your bachelor’s degree and the purpose of the interview is to learn about diversity training within the workplace. Utilize the information in the articles you read in weeks 1 through 4, and the discussions with your classmates, to craft your interview questions. Feel free to use the interview questions your classmates suggested – just make sure they will help you get at the information you need. Ultimately you want to develop an understanding of best practices for implementing diversity training in the workplace. a. Write a minimum 6-page paper (title page, 3 pages of content, reference page, and appendix showing the interview questions you asked; following APA formatting guidelines) (50 pts) i. Tell about your experience ii. Explain you learned from the interview iii. Tell about the types of training or policies they have regarding diversity and inclusion in their workplace iv. Provide at least one thing you like about or agree with on their policies/ procedures regarding diversityin their organization v. And detail at least one thing you think they should reconsiderregarding their diversity and inclusion policy or training based on what you have learned over the last 4 weeks. It is not acceptable to say they do everything perfectly and no changes should be made. You need to identify at least one needed change. vi. Additionally find a minimum of three (3) authoritative resources on best practices for implementing a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training within an organization and provide your takeaways from that information here. 1.
