I will send a document of what I had written in an essay format but it was supposed to be written as a Research Proposal, please use it as a reference since this is what the research design is going to be based off of. For the research design in general I want to only have adults as the participants please.
For this assignment you will be writing the Research Design section of your Research Proposal. It will explain how you will go about doing your research and what method you will be using.
Important: Remember, this research design will become part of your larger research proposal. As such, you will not actually be collecting data for this class. Because you are not actually collecting data, you can assume that your research budget is unlimited and you will have access to data, research assistants, etc.
Please choose one of the following five research methods.
1. Survey
2. Experiment
3. Content Analysis
4. Qualitative Interviews
5. Field Research/Ethnography

The format of the research design will vary based on the method you choose. Please use these examples as general guides for formatting your assignment. Please do not copy exactly what each of these assignments does in terms of sampling, survey questions, qualitative interview questions, theoretical approach, etc. when it doesn’t make sense for your particular topic and study design.
Format for Assignment:
• Number each page besides the title page
• Each section should start with a subheading
• The research design will be a mix between written text, as well as lists (for example if
you are using hypotheses and variables.
• 2.0 double spaced, 1 inch margins, Times New Roman, 12pt font.
• 1.0 spacing can be used for survey/interview/consent form/references (as needed)
• The research design has some flexibility in terms of how it is written. It can be written in
either in the 1st person or the 3rd person. For example:
1st Person: I will distribute 1,500 surveys to a representative sample of CSUN students…. 3rd Person: Fifteen-hundred surveys will be distributed to a representative sample of….. If you are choosing either Qualitative Interviews of Field Research/Ethnography, I suggest writing in the 1st person, as you will be asked to reflect on your personal role as a researcher.
• If you are using a survey, interview questions, or a consent form, each should start at the top of a new page
• Approximate Length 6-9+ pages
