Use a minimum of 3 peer-reviewed journal references that have been published within the past 5 years (Wikipedia/blogs and opinion sites are NOT acceptable sources)

Power Point Requirements:
Each country’s healthcare system has been shaped by its particular culture, history, politics, and economic conditions. Develop a 12-16 slide PowerPoint presentation (not including title slide or reference slide) which considers the similarities and differences between the US healthcare system and one other system. This PowerPoint will be submitted to a discussion board so your peers can view it and add their thoughts.
Topic: Select one country from the following list: Australia, Canada, Chile, France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, UK, Norway or South Korea and compare its healthcare system to that of the U.S. Please follow the rubric closely, and be use to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each system.
Research the key concepts and factors that influence healthcare of the U.S. AND that of your selected country and compare them.
Consider similarities and differences in:
How healthcare services are delivered ~ Some examples would be to include:
Types of healthcare services supplied and demanded
Policies and laws
Access of care
Role of patients, physicians, & 3rd party payers (gov’t, private insurance, employers)
Financing (who pays)
Include at least three peer-reviewed journals that are less than 5 yrs old in your resources. If you do not know what a peer-reviewed journal is, please investigate. A librarian is especially helpful. Prepare a reference list of all resources and websites used in your research using APA 7th ed guidelines.
Additional Guidelines:
This should be a slide presentation of approximately 12-16 slides that adequately present your topic for the class to view. You will be required to conduct a peer review one other students’ presentations.
Please label your PowerPoint with your last name first and countries compared. Ie: Thompson, Canada vs US
As a general rule, slides should have approx. 6 lines per slide with no more than 6 words per line. For any explanatory text, feel free to use the “Notes” section of the slides. Graphics and creativity are welcome! Though bear in mind not to have the graphics obstructing the information, you still want the audience to be able to read the PowerPoint as well as be entertained by it.
Please make sure you use APA citations on the slides and make sure your reference list matches up with your in-text citations (Every reference should have at least one corresponding in-text citation)
Use the rubric as a guideline for what you include in your PowerPoint, I am looking for these specification. Pay attention to the point values of each section. Example, describing the general approach for each nation’s system is worth 10 points, while the financial aspects are worth 20. I.e. perhaps you dedicate 2 slides to financial aspects to ensure you are doing adequate research for this complicated topic or including thorough coverage of the topic in the notes section, while on one may be needed for the general approach sections. Using the notes section of PowerPoint can be beneficial if you are the wordy type when writing. Slide show presentations general should be concise and only highlight the key points; expand on these in the notes if necessary.
