What do you feel is one strength and one weakness in Oregon’s Forensic Evaluator credentialing process?

Hello! Please help me complete my work. The specific amount of references and page length does not matter so much, especially as much of it is based off an educated opinion, but please do try to answer each in full. Thank you greatly! 1: Given the legal statute presented, what do you feel is one strength and one weakness in Oregon’s Forensic Evaluator credentialing process? Why do you hold this attitude? 2: Are jury consultants “Whores of the Court” (borrowing the term from Margaret Hagen)? Yes or No? Provide 2 well-reasoned arguments. 3: The text discusses stereotypically male characteristics that are demonstrated by both male and female lawyers. The book discusses 8 such traits. I would like you to comment (give a reasoned and well supported argument) on the following 3 characteristics mentioned on that list: Materialism: lawyers are concerned with the “economic bottom line”…. (a): How do you think this goal held by attorneys on a case would compare with the goal of forensic psychologists being asked to serve as Expert Witnesses in order to aid the court in understanding mental illness and proper placement (forensic hospital versus correctional institute), treatment, and so forth? Explain your thoughts clearly and with examples. Altruism: interest in public work and social concerns This characteristic has been shown to decline over time in lawyers, such that they become less idealistic and more a product of the system as they advance in their careers. For example, those more experienced lawyers with a “help the underdog” mentality were shown to experience greater psychological distress. I would attribute this distress in part to the psychological experience of cognitive dissonance (discomfort experienced when one’s actions and beliefs do not align). (b): Where do you see forensic psychologists standing on the characteristic of altruism in their own professional activities? What do you base this opinion on? (c): Would the attitudes held towards altruism by both groups of professionals (lawyer and psychologist) complement or complicate their harmonious collaboration in seeking the truth? Moral development: moral reasoning used in decision-making it has been suggested by some researchers that lawyers operate at Stage 4 “law and order” [Conventional Level of Moral Reasoning] on Kohlberg’s theory of moral development. (d): What level of Kohlberg’s theory would you place forensic psychologists on, and why? 4: There is an analogy of a car mechanic given to explain how lawyers can represent heinous criminals under the explanation of “doing one’s job.” Do you think this would characterize the approach taken by forensic psychologists serving as expert witnesses too? Why or why not? Explain.
