Utilizing faculty feedback on the draft project plan, each student will complete the designated template for the Final Project Plan, adhering to the grading criteria in the rubric. The final plan should be comparable to a proposal that could be submitted to a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for consideration. Online students must also be prepared to present a brief description of the project within a Practicum discussion forum for peer review and feedback.
Projects may not be implemented until students receive written approval from faculty (i.e. Final Project Plan is graded and returned). Plans must be submitted a minimum of five business days prior to planned implementation date. In addition, the student’s preceptor must attend the project implementation.
NOTE: The final plan must thoroughly reflect what could theoretically enacted in the practicum setting. The intervention & strategies should be explained in sufficient detail.
Use the template provided above. Type your answers into the text boxes on the template. Use the template for the final plan, which is similar to but different from the project draft. Make sure you include appropriate references – particularly in the intervention column, utilizing APA format. Add a title page and a reference page.
The project plan should be prepared completely – so that you could submit it to the CNO proposing and justifying this project within your practicum setting. The 3 column grid should be complete so someone could “cover” this project for you if you had to be replaced at the last moment. In other words, a topical outline (at the very least) of content you will be covering should be included in the “Intervention” column along with the mode or format of the project (lecture, newsletter, role play, case studies, paired or group work, Q & A, PowerPoint handout, etc.).
Objectives and evaluative criteria should be explicit enough to enable you to easily examine the success of this presentation.
ALL project related documents – any pre-test, post-test, surveys, handouts, advertisements/flyers, PowerPoints – must be uploaded along with the final project plan in this same submission. Please attach all documents in Word and/or PowerPoint format.
