**For this week address readings for Thursday**
For the Reading Journals, you will need to complete a 150-300 word entry for each day of class. Divide each entry equally between the different readings for that day (but you should have 150-300 words total for each day, not 150-300 words per reading). In your journal entry, include the following:
What is each author’s main point, their take-home message? Articulate this in your own words; don’t use quotes unless there’s a very specific wording that you think is important to quote.
Do you find each author’s main point persuasive? Briefly explain why or why not.
For at least one of the readings (but you can do all of them if you want): How does this relate to things you know about or have experienced? Note that “relate” doesn’t necessarily mean “agree with”; I’m asking how these readings might matter outside of the classroom. You can engage with them personally if you like, or connect them with current events, things others you know are interested in, etc.
Suggest one question or topic you think would be interesting to discuss as a class about these readings. This can be anything that interests you about them.
