Research Goals. Explain how you would now revise and update these goals
with regard to rethinking these goals, creating new goals, etc.
Reflect on the extent
to which you are making progress on your goals. Be specific as to what you
have achieved, where and how you achieved this goal, etc.
What goals can you
focus on for the rest of the semester? How, specifically, can you focus on
these goals throughout remaining assignments?

need to do to be more successful in this class and one thing that I could
do to help you be more successful, engaged, and/or learn more in this
class.

important things that you know about effective writing and research.
What are some key things that you know or believe? What do you think you
still need to learn?
Reflect on what you
know about yourself as a writer and researcher. What are your strengths
and weaknesses? What’s your writing process (real and ideal)? What kind of
writing do you like and dislike doing? What are you concerned or excited
about with regard to this class?
Think about what you
most want to get from this class (what you want to accomplish, learn, or
improve this semester), and list goals for yourself. Be mindful of the
course when creating your goals (for example, a poetry writing goal is not
relevant to this course) and do not write “improve my writing”
or “be a better researcher”; instead, think about what those
things mean for you and be specific.
My: Answer
Reflection
I believe that planning is one of the
essential aspects of effective writing and research. By planning, one crucial
component is jotting down an outline of the writing before beginning work on
it. An outline ensures that the final paper is properly structured and that
every significant point of the prompt is comprehensively covered. Additionally,
it makes the completion of the writing easier, as it highlights areas to
research. Even though my writing skills have significantly improved, I believe
I still need to improve in various areas, including structuring sentences and
paragraphs to ensure my desired points are clearly jotted down.
Based on the papers I have written; I know
that I am a good planner when completing writing or research. My first step in
completing a writing or research is conducting minor pre-research on the topic
and then establishing a plan and an outline to complete the writing. I set a
goal on the duration I would need to complete every segment and work towards
achieving it. As a result, I always meet the deadline, and my writings are
always detailed enough. However, my weakness is that sometimes I lack the most
appropriate words to express the ideas I have in mind, thereby consuming much
of my time brainstorming the most appropriate words. I love writing poetry,
which enables me to be creative, but I dislike writing reviews.
This class has significantly impacted my
creativity, communication, and organizational skills. With time, I have grown
to become more creative and currently finding it easier to gain the attention
of the reader through writing. Additionally, by learning to organize my
writings, I have grown to become more presentable. Additionally, my
communication skills have greatly improved as I have learned to properly structure
my speech to ensure that it is better understood.
