This is a power point abd voice thread assignment.
For the VT presentation:
First, you prepare the PowerPoint and then you upload it to VT for narration recording. The person who uploaded it needs to share it with their partner so you can take turns narrating it. To do this, click on the arrow at the bottom of your uploaded PPT in VT and select the specific course “member” from the link (see a screenshot here–> Capture.PNG) ) When you have completed everything, you then need to share the presentation with the class so we can all view it. All instructions for the preparation and sharing of your VT presentation are in the Course Materials and Assignment folders. Be sure to review those–they are very user-friendly.
In your VT presentation, you and your team member should mention the specific social determinant of health topic that you each selected for further study (research on the topic will be continued in your final paper individually).
Your VoiceThread presentation post will be for class viewing purposes only (a public forum within our course shell). However, for individual grading purposes, be sure to submit your original PPT file via the assignment submission link (the PPT file that you prepared for uploading to VT). So, you need to: 1) prepare and share your VT presentation in the VT forum as a team, AND 2) submit the original PPT via the Assignment link individually to your grade book for grading purposes.
There were a couple of questions about the length and format of the VoiceThread presentations. Here are the Q&A’s:
Ques. How long should the whole presentation be?
Ans. A good timing range is about 5-8 minutes.
Ques. Are there any specific categories or topics you want us to cover in the slides? Should it be demographics, environmental conditions, social determinants, context, etc.?
Ans. Yes, you should include those and highlight the main findings based on the categories in the Community Toolbox (the link is in the instructions); select topics based on what you observed in your research of the area.
Ques. Do you want just one slide dedicated to the specific determinant we choose and some brief comments about it (one slide for each person)?
Ans. Yes, you can have 1-2 slides that briefly discuss each team member’s selected health issue and why it was selected.
