The exercise in which I conducted a personal interview with a patient was an informative learning experience on how to acquire information with care implications from patients. In fact, the experience made me realize that a medical interview is a versatile diagnostic and therapeutic tool. Unlike other interviews, a medical interview that allows the patient to express uncertainties and discomforts from illness, while the medical personnel get to clarify the problems the patient experiences while deriving diagnostic and therapeutic values.
