Assessment Task 1:

Task 1: Evaluate the following organisational characteristics:
1. What business is your target organization in?
2. What “business problem” or challenge are you facing?
3. What idea do you have to address this problem?
4. What solution will be implemented to realise this idea?
5. Where on the entrepreneurial lifecycle does this idea sit?

Task 2: Analyse what role project management can play in this
organisation:
1. What is the role of Project Management in realizing this solution?
2. What project management structure and approach would be appropriate in meeting the challenges of delivering this solution?
3. How would the project team be organized, what skills are required inside the company/organization, on the project team, and what could be outsourced … and why?
4. What happens to this team when the project is complete?

Assessment Task 3:

Task 1: Develop a project plan
You are expected to develop a project plan for the idea that you developed in Assignment 1. The project plan should take a lean perspective and should fit the circumstances of the organisation. The project plan should consist of (at minimum) the following:
• Scope
• Schedule
• Resources
• Risk
• Other appropriate information.

Task 2: Research component:
• You are required to source at least 5 journal papers and write a report
to answer the following questions:
• Develop a “Pitch” to identify and articulate a
discontinuous change to existing business models
• Identify the project risks and discuss a mitigation strategy
• Articulate an effective team structure and capability

You need to write two (2) reflection journals
• Journal 1: 1,000 words (10% of your final mark)
• Journal 2: 2,000 words (20% of your final mark)
• You need to submit a reflective journal covering different aspects of the course material, and your learning journey

1. The first journal you need to reflect upon WHY you have chosen to do this Unit. What do you hope to learn. What skills you will have when finished. How this will benefit you in your chosen career.
2. The final journal needs to reflect upon what you have learned in this unit. Did it meet your expectations? Did you develop the skills that you set out to learn at the beginning? Did your expectations change during the conduct of the course?
