Watch two videos featuring the performance of a twentieth century music composition. Your choices must be from the twentieth or twenty-first century classical tradition, such as solo, orchestral or chamber music performances, not pop, rock, or jazz. Please note that this assignment is not a 20th or 21st century performance of music from the Classical era – students should watch videos of music that was composed in the twentieth or twenty-first century. The music chosen for this assignment needs to have been written in the twentieth or twenty-first century, so it is important to not choose music that was composed before the twentieth century. You can either choose two compositions written by the same composer or a composition from two different twentieth or twenty-first century composers. If you are not sure if your choices fit the requirements, be sure to ask in the Questions thread or by sending a personal message to your instructor. The following is a list of possible choices for composers for this assignment. You are not required to choose a composer from this list as long as your choices are composers from the twentieth or twenty-first century.

For each of the two videos, discuss how each composition reflects the six basics of melody, harmony, texture, rhythm, timbre, and form. You can refer to “Tools” in the course text for detailed information about each of these musical terms. Please also address how the composer’s music reflects the culture and/or time period in which he or she lived. This aspect of the assignment should include information from academic sources about the musical style of your chosen composer/s that is cited. The videos should be cited in the body of the text and in a reference page.

There is no specific word count requirement for this assignment – just be sure you are addressing all of the required elements. This paper should be written in paragraph form using complete sentences with a clear introduction and conclusion. Carefully experiment with the Privacy settings in Facebook. Describe how you would use the privacy settings in Facebook to protect your privacy and safety. Why is this important?

When you enter the privacy settings on your Facebook account, it gives you the option to go over your settings as a type of a refresher of your privacy settings. I did the refresher and all it is making sure you know who can see your posts, and who can see your profile. Also, you can manage your profile and manage if you want to add education, or if you’ve recently moved to another city, state, etc.

I would use and also recommend using to others the refresher that is available on the privacy settings. It is very helpful because we tend to lose track of our privacy on Facebook, or any social media for that matter. It’s important to stay on top of things, and to be sure we are only allowing those who we have as friends to see our posts, our pictures, or any other information that we post on Facebook. It is also very important to do this because of how notorious cyber crime has become. Especially if you have kids, I would say this of utmost importance because there are many predators out there that can lure younger children by social media if we don’t monitor their social media accounts, and the privacy settings on those accounts. 1. Medical information is essential to working with people who are looking for services that provide extra care/resources for their disability or incapability to work or preform day to day tasks. “A general medical examination and specialists’ reports help determine the person’s functional limitations and potential for rehabilitation” (Woodside & McClam, 2018, p.277) Medical information contributes to the clients case file by providing professional documentation of a client’s limitations, so that the case manager can provide and coordinate services to the client that fits their needs. The case manager should be familiar with some medical terminology or be familiar with using sources such as PDR or DSM-5. “The role of a medical consultant is to interpret the available medical data, determine any implications for health and employment, and recommend further medical care if needed” (Woodside & McClam, 2018, p.280) This is helpful for a case manager helps the case manager further knowledge and provide future recommendations on the clients conditions or if more medical treatment or services are necessary.
There are many different reasons that a case manager would refer a client for psychological evaluation. “One reason is to establish a diagnosis to meet criteria of eligibility for services” (Woodside & McClam, 2018,p.288), “Another reason for a psychological evaluation is to provide justification for a particular services” (Woodside & McClam, 2018, p.288), some evaluations may provide information about client’s intelligences, personality, or aptitude (Woodside & McClam, 2018), and finally a case manager may ask for a psychological evaluation for information that is missing. The psychological report contains “written document that explains an individual’s personal characteristics, mental status, and social history” (Woodside & McClam, 2018, p.290) The three components of the psychological report consist of why the client was sent for the referral and different back ground information such as social history and age, next component is the “interpretation of raw data” (Woodside & McClam, 2018, p.291) this can include test scores, then finally the diagnosis from the evaluation and future recommendations.
B.) Medical information and medical consultations help a case manager in many aspects. For one, the case manager will be able to interact with the service medical provider and see what the assistance is that the client may need (Woodside & McClam 2018). This also gives them the opportunity to ask questions as well (). When a client is referred for a psychological evaluation there are contents of the report that are important to the case manager. One of the reasons that a case manager may refer a client to go to one of these evaluations is to establish a possible diagnosis that meets the criteria to see the eligibility for the different services available (Woodside & McClam, 2018). Another reason for a psych evaluation could be to “provide justification for a particular service” and also to resolve any contradictions and add missing information (Woodside & McClam, 2018, p 289). These are just a few reasons as to why these things help the case managers.
