1. Alphabet theme- The children can learn their Abc’s , the perfect book to read to them for this theme would be Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. Ant the children can do different activities like picking their favorite letter of the alphabet and then they can practice writing / tracing it out on paper. Also write out the children’s names and let them practice tracing and writing out their name.

Fall theme- The children can do different activities for this theme including going outside to pick a leaf off of the tree, letting them pick a big or small leaf and painting it. Can read the book Why do Leaves Change Color? By Betsy Maestro . Pass around a small pumpkin at circle time, etc.

Apple theme- Get a red and a green apple enough for all of the children , and show them to the children and ask them about the color of the Apple. Print out coloring pages of apples and let the children decide if they want to color it red or green. Cut the apples for the children so that they can taste them and describe the differences , etc.

1) Learning Themes

1. Community Helpers

2. The Farm

3. Winter

4. Transportation

5. Mothers Day/Flowers

6. Summer

7. Ocean

2) These themes I choose are ones with endless ideas for the classroom. In community helpers the children get familiarized with dentists/doctors, police/fireman, veterinarians, trash collectors. It can help when they go to the dentist for the first time or take their animal to the vet. They get an understanding of police officers and what good they do for the community as well as fireman. They learn fun songs in the Farm theme and noises farm animals make. Maybe a live farm animal could visit the school one day. With winter the play-dough can be white with silver glitter and it can be scented with mint extract. There can be snowman, snowflake and polar bear cookie cutters to cut out shapes with the play-dough. In transportation they can build roads with chalk on the sidewalk and use blocks to build a city around the roads. They can use toy taxi’s, cars, tow trucks, ambulance’s to drive through the city. You can also incorporate street signs like the signal light, teaching what red, yellow and green means. For Mothers Day/flowers children can learn about different flowers and paint a pot decorated for their mother. Then learn about soil and plant a flower in their pot for their mothers gift. You can have books for the theme on mothers and also on flowers. Summer is a fun one. Outside with a beach ball you can form a few groups in a circle and with a beach ball hit it back and forth, and if you have a blanket and have the kids put the ball on top of the blanket and lift it up and down for the ball to bounce on. On the fence attach a paper and have paint in spray bottles in different colors, fun designs come from this. Popsicle’s as a treat is a fun surprise. The ocean theme you can bring shells, and plastic sea animals with a bucket of water to play with. For a craft have sand to have the kids glue onto a colored paper, have fish cut outs and let them make a craft with the ocean, sand, fish, shells included on their paper. Talk about keeping the ocean clean which keeps the sea life safe and always throwing trash away when visiting the ocean.Instructions Create a new project file in Microsoft Project and use the “Save as” function to rename the file with your last name, your first initial, and your project title. I’m working on a Statistics question and need guidance to help me study.

Instructions
Create a new project file in Microsoft Project and use the “Save as” function to rename the file with your last name, your first initial, and your project title. Example: AlexisJ_EletricTruckProject. (1point).
2. Use the file Properties from the “Backstage” view in Microsoft Project to enter a brief description of the project objectives in the Comments field. Remember, project objectives must be SMART. Complete the other Properties as appropriate. (Hint: Go to File>Info>Project Information>Advanced Properties>Comments). (2points)

3. From the Gantt chart view, with the Entry Table applied, enter 20 deliverables for your project in the Task Name column, including project management. Remember, typically, a deliverable is a component part of the project and is expressed as a noun/adjective – NOT a verb (Hint: see PMBOK ® fifth edition pages 158, 159, and 160 as examples). It is acceptable to breakdown your project into phases, and then deliverables and sub-deliverables. (7points).

4. If you have not done so, breakdown the deliverables of your project into work packages and enter them as subtasks under the deliverables. Remember, it is okay to combine a phase-based with a deliverable-based approach. In fact, you are encouraged to use the phases you created for your project earlier in the course. If you need a hint, refer to the lecture on scope management. (2 points)

5. Breakdown the work packages into project activities. Note that unlike deliverables, activities are the actual actions you need to perform to complete the deliverables/work packages or phases. Activities are expressed as verb phrases. If you need a hint, review the lecture on schedule management. (6 points)

6. Use the “Indent/Outdent Task” command from the Task tab in Microsoft Project to create a hierarchy of deliverables/work packages/activities. This hierarchy will help you plan better your project. (1point)

7. Use the default WBS coding system in MS Project to code your WBS. (Hint: From the Format tab> Outline Number). (1point)

Note: The total items in your project files should consist of at least 50 lines, including deliverables, work packages, and activities. Remember that planning is an iterative process. You can always revise your plan as more information becomes available. Your project activities must be completely original – do not copy information from another source. You will receive a zero score for any assignments that are not original.

Hint: Review the attached file to see how to structure your deliverables, work packages, and activities. Pay careful attention to the nomenclature.Instructions
