I’m working on a Philosophy question and need guidance to help me study.
1. For this assignment carefully read the following case.
Social distance is defined as, “ the avoidance of close contact with other people during the outbreak of a contagious disease in order to minimize exposure and reduce the transmission of infection” (Merriam-Webster). When there is a potential of contagion such as the Coronavirus pandemic, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends social distancing including limited travel, working at home, self-quarantine for people who are sick, and online school methods. Their guidelines were “designed for a “containment” approach in the absence of sustained SARS-CoV-2 transmission in US communities in order to delay introduction and spread of SARS-CoV-2.” (CDC, 2020).
On the one hand, social distancing can prevent the spread of a disease in a community, thus limiting the number of cases of people getting sick. Social distancing early in a pandemic can “curb” the influx of spreading to avoid a large number of concurrent patients that hospitals may not have the resources to handle. It also may slow the rate of transmission, giving scientists more time to study the disease and develop medicine and vaccinations.
On the other hand, there are negative consequences of social distancing. If people are not working, they may not make enough money to pay the bills. Parents may need to stay at home to provide child care. Businesses may lose money as shoppers are staying home. Although some industries may see a rise in activity (delivery services such as Amazon, or streaming services such as Netflix), professor Bludau warns that large industries such as oil and gas will have nation-wide impacts on gas prices (Bludau, 2020).

2. Write 500 words on the following question:
Should social distancing policies be mandatory, such as closing schools or requiring business to pay employees for leave of absence? Should the decision be left to the federal government, state government, businesses, or individuals?
You must use one of the moral theories we have studied this semester in your answer. You could use: Utilitarianism (act or rule), Kant’s deontology, Social contract theory, or Virtue ethics. Be sure to state the main principle of the theory and explain how it applies to this case.
Your response should include:
A. A brief summary of the main problem and relevant background facts and a clear statement of your position on the case. (see item number 1 in Guidelines for a Case Study Analysis in Burnor & Raley, pp. xxiii)
B. An argument in support of your position on the case, which includes a moral principle. (see items 3 & 4 in Guidelines for a Case Study Analysis in Burnor & Raley, pp. xxiii-xxiv)
C. Describe and respond to at least one possible objection to your position. (see item 5 in Guidelines for a Case Study Analysis in Burnor & Raley, pp. xxiv)Internal analysis: Resources, Capabilities, and Core Competencies: online nursing assignment help

Please answer the following discussion questions:
Question 1 – McDonald’s
a. Conduct a value chain analysis for McDonald’s. What are its primary activities? What are its support activities? Identify the activities that add the most value for the customer. Why? Which activities help McDonald’s to contain cost? Why?
b. In the last few years, McDonald’s has made a lot of changes to its menu, adding more healthy choices and more higher-priced items, such as those offered in McCafé (e.g., premium roast coffee, frappé, and fruit smoothies), and has also enhanced its in-restaurant services (e.g., free, unlimited Wi-Fi, newer interiors). Did McDonald’s new priorities—in terms of a broader, healthier menu and an improved in-restaurant experience—require changes to its traditional value chain activities? If so, how? Try to be as specific as possible in comparing the McDonald’s from the recent past (focusing on low-cost burgers) to the McDonald’s today.
Question 2 – The Resource-based view
The resource-based view of the firm identifies four criteria that managers can use to evaluate whether particular resources and capabilities are core competencies and can, therefore, provide a basis for sustainable competitive advantage. Are these measures independent or interdependent? Explain. If (some of) the measures are interdependent, what implications does that fact have for managers wanting to create and sustain a competitive advantage?
Please answer the following ethical/social issues question:
Question 3 – Loss of key personnel
The chapter mentions that one type of resource flow is the loss of key personnel who move to another firm. Assume that the human resources department of your firm has started running ads and billboards for open positions near the office of your top competitor. Your firm is also running Google ads on a keyword search for this same competitor. Is there anything unethical about this activity? Would your view change if this key competitor had just announced a major layoff?

Can you help me understand this History question?
hello I need two different discussions answered in 5-7 sentences. These are the directions.:)
Discussion – The Histories by Herodotus
8383 unread replies.8383 replies.
Herodotus, one of the first historians in history (an issue I will address in lecture) gives his account here of Persian culture. Read this section closely and discuss one cultural practice of the Persians that he approves of and one that he does not. Why do you think he feels this way about these practices?
Discussion – One Thousand and One Nights How would you characterize the people in these three particular stories from One Thousand and One Nights? Do any themes (class, gender, social, religious, etc.) emerge in the stories? Why do you think that is? What cultural norms are contributing to these themes?
***Your post should be a solid paragraph in length (as always a solid paragraph is roughly 5-7 sentences), which includes both your initial response and the responses to your colleagues. For all discussions you are required to respond thoughtfully and respectfully to one of your colleague’s posts. Your initial post is worth 10 points and the response to a colleague is worth 10 points, so give equal thought to both posts.***Change the World Video Link and Reflection/Critique: nursing assignment help
I don’t understand this Communications question and need help to study.
Find a Change the World speech that resonates with you. An example (which should not be used) is Emma Watson’s HeforShe speech at the UN Women’s conference in 2014. You may also search for speeches on americanrhetoric.com, TED Talks, or google “best recent speeches” for inspiration
First, in a short introductory typed paragraph, provide a description of your chosen “Change the World” speech you plan to critique. Please use a speech from the last 20 years, from 2000 -2020. Who is speaking? What is the occasion, and where and when is this taking place? Why is this speech important enough that it qualifies as a potential “world-changing” speech? What’s the main issue at the center of this presentation?
Next, you will need to do two things:
Put a link to the video of the speech if you can find it online. If for any reason there is not a video, please attach a link to the transcript from the speech; however, please TRY to find a speech with a video. If your speech is longer than 10 minutes (and many addresses of this sort are), focus on a 10 minute segment. if you provide a link to the entire speech, be sure to mention which ten minutes you are focusing on. For the next part of the assignment, write a 2 page typed reflection and critique of the speech, focusing on the content, tone, and delivery, as well as the most memorable aspects of the speech. Be sure to mention Logos, Pathos, and Ethos from the Lesson. Include why you chose that speech and the effect it has had on you and the world. Submit to Canvas at the end of the week, by Sunday February 9th.
