How might this movie link to the discussions in Parts 1 and 2 of this Blackboard online assignment? For example, what do you think might shift for the students as they move from adolescence into adulthood? Would the interventions shown in the movie align with those in the assigned readings? If you worked in this school with the knowledge that you have on trauma and trauma-informed practice, can you imagine doing anything differently than what these educators are doing or do you align with their approach?

A trauma-informed practice approach primarily views the individual as having been harmed by something or someone, thus connecting the personal and the socio-political environments: A foundational principle within social work. The purpose of this assignment is to identify the principles of trauma informed practice through a social work lens.

NOTE- There is a required minimum of 6 scholarly sources;

you are encouraged to use other sources that can support the richness of your learning. ,

search out other sources of information (academic as well as sources of traditional knowledge-based teachings if appropriate) to support your paper. Include in your discussion, what it means to be a trauma-informed social worker in either option you choose.

Pick one of the options below:

1) Explore trauma informed practice with a specific population – e.g. refugee, women experiencing family violence, At-risk youth, Indigenous peoples, men who experienced childhood sexual abuse, and so forth.

OR 2) Discuss a specific agency( has to be canadian agency) in relation to trauma-informed-practices/trauma-informed service delivery. Find a trauma informed organizational assessment guide (there are many established ones found on-line) then either evaluate that organization’s practices against that guide or use examples from the organization’s practice to illustrate the principles you are discussing

When candidates for president are out on the campaign trail it is not uncommon to hear them state, “When I am elected President, on day one I will do … .” The candidate then gives a list of one or two executive orders that they will make on their first day in office. In other words, they will make a policy that falls within the vagueness of Article II of the U.S. Constitution or a change of how current laws are executed and thus not needing Congressional approval for such a change.

For your initial post this week, imagine you are a candidate for the White House and present to the class at least one executive action you would take on your first day serving as president. (Please Note: it is not acceptable to state that you think no action should be taken.)

Go beyond just stating what the executive order you would make is. Make an argument supporting your action. Is it a legal action?
