I’m studying for my Psychology class and need an explanation.
Watch the Unit 6 Lecture. (Transcripts) Read the following scenario.
Setting the Scene:
Behavior analysts encounter a number of ethical concerns when providing services. No matter the situation, behavior analysts are charged with the responsibility of maintaining a high standard of professional behavior. The Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) has established guidelines for responsible conduct for behavior analysts. Code 1.0, and its subsections, provides detailed guidelines regarding your responsibilities as a behavior analyst to the profession of applied behavior analysis. Reliance on scientific knowledge, competence, multiple relationships, and exploitative relationships are discussed in terms of your ethical conduct. Code 6.0, and its subsections, details your responsibilities to the profession with regard to maintaining scientific involvement in behavior analytic professional and scientific organizations. Your responsibilities as a behavior analyst go far beyond your professional service to your clients; your conduct reflects on the science and profession of behavior analysis as well.
Discussion:
Select three subsections of Code 1.0 and provide an explanation of each. Based upon the three subsections of Code 1.0 you discussed, explain how those guidelines impact the reputation of the science and profession of applied behavior analysis (ABA).
Guided Response Posts:
Respond to two classmates’ primary posts by selecting one of the subsections of Code 1.0 they chose to explain and provide a scenario, based upon that subsection, that demonstrates a violation of that specific code, and explain the potential harm that violation may cause. Select a different subsection to cover in each response.
Reading and Resources
Read the following:
Chapter 6 in Ethics for Behavior Analysts (3rd edition): “Responsible Conduct of Behavior Analysts (Code 1.0)”
Chapter 6 breaks down Code 1.0 and provides an overview of the responsibility behavior analysts have to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects well on the field. The importance of practicing with honesty and integrity is stressed. Real world scenarios are utilized to build understanding of how this code is applied in practice.
Chapter 11 in Ethics for Behavior Analysts (3rd edition): “Behavior Analysts’ Ethical Responsibility to the Profession of Behavior Analysis (6.0)”
Chapter 11 explains the behavior analyst’s responsibility to the profession of behavior analysis through a thorough examination of Code 6.0 and its sub-sections. Real world scenarios are utilized to build understanding of how this code is applied in practice.

Provide an analysis of the short story “The Story of X” by Lois Gould. This is not a summary; make sure that you offer an interpretation of the short story and that you “read between the lines” in order to address each aspect of analysis:
Audience Purpose Content Mood Style Structure
In addition to your main response, you must also post substantive responses to at least two of your classmates’ posts in this thread. Your response should include elements such as follow up questions, further exploration of topics from the initial post, or requests for further clarification or explanation on some points made by the classmates.
Comment 1
The story of X was very powerful and gives the readers a taste of the sexist world we live in. This short story really addresses that gender does not identify an individual. Gender should not distinguish what toy or sports children should grow up playing. This stereotype attitude that children grow up with is almost like setting them up for failure. In this story, X shows the “other children” that it is okay to play basketball or weave baskets whether you are a girl or boy. X really inspired and influenced others because it was not about playing with gender appropriate toys or hobbies, it was about “having twice as much fun…”. This short story will be great for closed-minded parents to read and share with their children because a lot of parents are raising their children gender-neutral.Targeted Topics in ABA Unit 6 Assignment: nursing coursework help

Assignment Details
Complete this week’s Learning Activity to prepare for the assignment.
For this assignment, you are a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). You have been working under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for 6-months and your supervisor recently assigned you two cases and would like you to design a behavior intervention plan (BIP) for each. However, before he can authorize your behavior plans, you are required to present him with a report that includes the following:
Summary of each case study Brief overview of the results of your Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) for each case that includes the identification and operational definition of the target behavior and the hypothesized function of the behavior Proposed antecedent-based behavior intervention plan (BIP) for Scenario #1 and Differential Reinforcement BIP for Scenario #2
Explain the steps in, and provide your rationale for, the antecedent-based BIP and the Differential Reinforcement BIP. Explain why you are qualified to work with these clients using the Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s (BACB’s) Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts, Codes 1.02a and 2.01. One of the potential clients is Japanese. Explain your obligations to this client using the BACB’s ethics codes 1.05b and c. Discuss how you will fulfil these obligations?
Gift-giving in Japan is highly ritualistic and meaningful. What does the BACB ethics code 1.06d require? How can you avoid a conflict between your potential client’s cultural practices and your ethics code?
Scenario #1:
Koki is 4-years-old. His grandparents came to the United States from Japan shortly after World War II. Koki, his parents, and his grandparents live together in a lovely, upper middle-class neighborhood. All adults in the family feel a strong responsibility to share in child rearing.
Koki is an energetic little boy! He loves to climb up onto the big, oversized armchair and jump as if he is on a trampoline. In fact, he often jumps from chair – to couch – and back to the chair again – over and over until he has worked up a sweat. Koki’s mother and grandmother have been trying to prepare him for kindergarten by teaching him his numbers and the alphabet, but he will not cooperate. Every time they try to sit him down at the table to work, he refuses to answer any of their questions. His grandmother will hold up a card with a letter on it and ask, “What is this letter, Koki?” But, he just runs to the chair and begins to jump. The same thing happens when his mother tries to work with him on his numbers and shapes. The family is worried that he will be totally unprepared for kindergarten and that would shame the family.
Scenario #2:
Mia is 16-years old. She is very popular and loves to talk on the phone with her many friends. In fact, she spends most of her time when she is not in school on her cell phone. Mia’s mother, Mrs. Peterson, recently had to return to work when her husband’s hours were cut at the local refinery. Mia has five younger siblings and her mother is counting on her to help with her brothers and sisters and with some of the housework, such as loading the dishwasher, doing the laundry, and getting the children ready for school on weekday mornings. Mrs. Peterson has been working her new job for 3-weeks now and Mia is not taking care of her responsibilities. When her mother comes home from work, the dishes are still in the sink, the laundry baskets are full, and she has received two notes from school about the children arriving late.

I’m trying to study for my Political Science course and I need some help to understand this question.
Overview:Democracy allows/requires broad participation of a citizenry in order to work properly. One of the main themes of the course is to view the US political system critically. Despite the ideals espoused by the Founders in the Constitution, the current reality is that US democracy is being challenged by a whole host of factors. Some would say US democracy is in decline and some would go further and say the US is no longer an effective democracy.
Your goal will be to take a problem solving approach to the challenges facing US democracy today. You will explain how it challenges democracy. Then you will provide a solution and explain how it can restore/re-invigorate democracy in the US. You will give a step-by-step plan for achieving the goal, using what you have learned in class.
First step: Identify a problem facing US democracy
Second step: Research potential solutions
You will conduct online research to find solutions and how we can effectuate the solution you’ve chosen to make the US more democratic.
Third Step:
1)Midterm–Prospectus, Outline, Bibliography (~2 pages, at least 1.5 pages)
• Recommended Format:
i.Intro paragraph/Thesis statement–what is the problem facing democracy you have selected and what is the solution?
ii.Body paragraph #1: State problem facing democracy and why it is problematic to a working democracy
iii. Body #2: Specific solution for the problem you’ve identified–why that solution/ how does this solution improve the situation? Is it a policy? Constitutional change? Dependent on election result? Something requiring mass mobilization of people?
iv. Body #3: Step by step plan for putting solution into action – the more detailed the better (and better grade)
1.What are some potential obstacles that stand in way of plan coming together?
v. Conclusion
vi. Bibliography–at least 6 sources properly cited in MLA/APA/APSA format
• Best outlines incorporate research into body of outline e.g. quotes/citations – this shows me you are already thinking of where your research goes into your paper
• The more effort you put into the midterm the higher likelihood you have a stronger final version and grade on the final.writing homework
