Since I’ve attended Colorado Technical University Online, I have encountered a few different courses now, and with no modesty intended, this is my favorite class! Our professor in my opinion makes it very clear what is expected. Not only does he communicate with sure clarification, there are unlimited resources provided. I can truly say I have enjoyed gaining knowledge in this class. Compelling topics for me were comparing the Homeland Security Act to the Patriot Act.

Seeing the similarities and differences between different agencies. Also like how you get personal with documents related to the Department of Homeland Security. Makes me feel like I’m getting closer to understanding the foundation of Homeland Security and all its entities.

Beyond the learning of topics in class, Dr. Uda also taught me how to properly construct essays and research papers with is helpful examples. I personally like the personal branding document, makes me want to perfect my craft of doing things accurately every time.

Discussions boards are always interesting for me. Getting to know my peers through their views, is the closest I can get to a actual classroom. I have seen a lot of brilliant posts. Some I have been in prior classes and some new, but I enjoyed all the same.

I realized in this class that I can make studying fun and great experience if planaccordingly. I still haven’t mastered replying on all my classmates posts, however the ones I did were informing and intriguing nonetheless.

Assignments did not need any additionalinformation it was given within 24/7 reach for duration of this course. I can saythat I hope to have the pleasure of taking another class by Professor Uda. Moving forward one thing that is different forme is the group project.

I have never had to do a group project before and even though it has its challenges, I’m excited to see how this will turn out. I haven’t had issues other than staying with communication due to technical difficulties. Otherwise facing the project is going to be my focus of this class, as it is new for me.

Moreover I have enjoyed the learning experience and plan to use my knowledge to the best of my abilities. Knowing there are several documents such as the ones we researched in this class, had me interested in learning those documents as well. This class showed me there is way more to The Department of HomelandSecurity than I thought it was and that gives me excitement for what’s next!reply to discussion below-wk6cmit zack
Help me study for my Social Science class. I’m stuck and don’t understand.

This is a good one, because I think that we never really think about being attacked online until it actually happens! I can tell you, I just bought a new laptop recently, and I make sure to have virus scans and uppermost security on this bad boy. My biggest fear is having a virus just completely destroy my computer.Anyway, phishing is also a big thing in my unit, because a lot of the work done in my unit has to do with computers and other technology, people are also being targeted for phishing. Phishing is basically having you log onto a fake website (fake bank, fake MyPay, fake whatever) and basically input your information into it as though you are logging in. Then this allows access to your sensitive information, which is not so good! It’s especially bad with the military, because we have Common Access Cards (CaC) and if the information is stolen from those, that means all hell for that service member. Lots of information is linked to that account.Making sure you have the up to date virus software is the best thing you can do for your own security as well as for the overall health of your computer system.reply to discussion below-wk5cmis zack: nursing case study help
I’m working on a Social Science exercise and need support.

Linkedin is a great way to utilize those who have worked with you in attempts to network and find job opportunities, but also have reputable references when applying for professional positions. Often times employers will use companies to help find employees fit for positions they are attempting to fill, and those companies will search through Linkedin to see if there are employees who fit the description, and contact them. I created a profile back in 2015 when first going to college at UMass Amherst, a horrible mistake at the time, but nonetheless a learning experience for me in both real life and work experience. It’s very simple, and requires an email, birthday, and name to confirm you are of age and in fact a real person. I would also recommending having a decent head shot of yourself that is up to date, as it will be the literal face of your first impression to those searching online. I may not use the site now, but once leaving the military, I can imagine it may help me out in some way, shape, or form.
