hold inorder to be a strong leader. Using one’s power to not put down othersabilities, but instead to create a team where each individual feelsappreciated and useful. Using power in a positive way in order to createa strong unit below can be done in numerous ways. A strong leader mayadvocate for a common goal as the people below them. With strongleadership comes the task of getting everyone below on board with theconstant changes and improvements that they wish to make.

Inthe medical field this is extremely important in order to provide thebest care to the patients. Cleveland Clinic Health system is composed ofmany subsystems which all have their own leaders. Together they cometogether and use the “patients-first” model to create a common goal inorder to advocate for their patients and also create an atmosphere ofbeing on the same page across the board of employees (Small & Small,2011). This demonstrates how a system can work under leaders who usetheir power positively to get the goal known throughout theorganization. A team who are focused on a common ground of goals andexpectations can be effective in leading a group. Although there may bemany different roles below a leader, the leader must be authentic incommunication and reaching each set of disciplines. The outcome of thisis to achieve these goals and demonstrate positive patient outcomes andshould work in a higher performance (Morgan, Tilin, Weiss, 2014).
