Question Description

As a tax return preparer, my job is to help my clients legally avoid tax, or pay the least of tax possible without providing misleading information. This is quite different from tax evasion, which reduces tax in an illegal way. There are numerous accounts of tax evasion in the media and the resulting penalties and/or jail time.
