Personal Swot

Question Description

The single biggest mistake I have seen friends/coworkers make is the idea that the company/boss/someone other than them, will guide their careers. No company can guarantee employment; you have the responsibility of keeping your skills updated and thereby ensuring you will always be employable.
Your decision to complete your degree is a great first step, but it’s only a first step. You must actively monitor your skill, always looking for ways to keep learning and challenging yourself.
“Change before you have to”. Tech jobs are skyrocketing. I just attended a conference where the speaker from Apple said the company is looking for more English majors who write code and more teachers who write code. He recommended that Universities offer minors for these students and encourage tech careers.
You must watch how technology is shaping your field; in most cases advancing technology requires fewer employees. A personal SWOT analysis is a great way to begin.
What are my; Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats.
Write down a personal SWOT, but you are not required to share with class. If you would prefer not sharing with the class, please send to my email. I think it would be a fun exercise to share and get feedback from your classmates. Who knows, you probably share some commonalities with your classmates, It’s totally up to you.

Instructions to be successful with discussions:

When you post in discussions stay away from writing posts like: You’ll have a prompt like this example: Discuss the topic of AI in relation to healthcare. Some students will write an answer like. “AI is being used in healthcare for surgeries. It is a technology that is integral to the healthcare system.” This answer will receive 2 points out of 5. Yes, you answered it but did not put a critical piece in the answer– the evidence.

Stay away from statements like “I think this, or I agree with Angie.” Instead, post something like… Research suggests that AI is just as good of a predictor of medical assessment as humans (https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2019/sep/24/ai-equal-with-human-experts-in-medical-diagnosis-study-finds (Links to an external site.)) Further machine technology is being used not only in diagnosis but also in treatment(https://www.davincisurgery.com/da-vinci-systems/about-da-vinci-systems (Links to an external site.)). Has anyone in the class had a personal experience with this kind of surgery? This is a more robust post and encourages interaction. It would receive full points.

This wok must be done in 24 hours maximum.
