    PLEASE READ IT ALL

In this paper, you’ll have the chance to forward your own solution to an existing social problem or concern.

    ASSIGNMENT:

In a 4-6 page essay, argue that the community you’re writing about (college, city, state, federal) should adopt your proposal because it will accomplish three distinct outcomes related to a community issue. You may draw from one of the issues we cover in class discussions, or you may opt to cover your own specific issue based on what you perceive to be a need for the particular community you’re writing about.

    ESSENTIALS:

You must have a thesis that argues your side clearly and lays out the structure of the paper. You should talk about how you plan to fund your proposal, implement your proposal, and overcome opposition to your proposal. You should have at least one paragraph covering all three of those items together, and they can come before or after you discuss your outcomes. You should acknowledge (most likely in the intro paragraph) why the proposal is needed, and your conclusion paragraph should touch on the expected effects of implementing your proposal.

    SOURCES:

You must also use at least two sources in your paper. These can be newspaper, magazine, online or journal articles or excerpts from books, provided that they support your proposal.

    FORMAT:

    1. Intro paragraph (apx. 1/2 page)

    2. Feasibility paragraph (funding/implementation/opposition) (apx. 1 page)

    3. Paragraph detailing outcome A (apx. 1 page)

    4. Paragraph detailing outcome B (apx. 1 page)

    5. Paragraph detailing outcome C (apx. 1 page)

    6. Conclusion paragraph (apx. 1/2 page)

Thesis example: I argue that the United States should increase funding to develop alternative fuels, because it would address the increasing energy crisis, it would help curb global warming, and it would create jobs and revenue for the American economy.

You’ll note that the points made in the proposal thesis require some research. It’s fine to come up with a working thesis where you’re guessing the outcomes (as I’ve done here) – but if you can’t support those particular points with research, you should rework your thesis to be supported by your research. I WILL MAKE SURE EACH OF YOUR MAIN POINTS IS SUPPORTED BY RESEARCH.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you’re not just arguing your position. I am requiring you to spend at least a paragraph talking about the feasibility of your proposal. Make sure you address how your plan will work – and step back from it, pretend you’re on the fence on the particular issue, and honestly ask yourself if the plan seems reasonable.I just need someone to answer the question below: online nursing assignment help

CONTEXT PARAGRAPH: This is a writing exercise that is intended to articulate your individual professional pursuits based on a specific field, your research and goals. This is not a document that you would submit to an employer. The GOAL of the document is to portray the basic rhetorical situation, including an awareness of how your materials will eventually be received and judged. This is a single stand-alone paragraph that should address the following:

Identify the name of the institution and the specific position/program you are pursuing

Name 2+ required qualifications that you must meet in order to be considered

Portray a few relevant facts & info about location, mission statement, outreach, reputation, essay prompt, company/school culture

Identify specific focuses within your career path or academic field: research that interests you, individuals of importance with whom you might want to work, newsworthy achievements that relate to your goals, etc.
